Cleaning windows properly

What you need:

A large container of warm water.

Caution: Too hot water, on the other hand, could damage the windows if it is particularly cold outside.

For the frames:

  • Soft damp cloth
  • REHAU care cleaner

For the glass:

  • Chamois leather or cleaning cloth
  • Window cleaner

Old, well-washed cotton shirts are particularly suitable for polishing windows.

Make sure that the cloths you use are soft enough so that they do not scratch the windows.

How do I clean my windows without streaks?

If possible, do not clean your windows in direct sunlight. This can cause streaking due to the rapid drying of the water in the sunlight.

Instructions

1. put a towel on the floor under the window to protect the floor from water running down.

2. start with the frames first. Dip your soft cloth in warm water and apply REHAU care cleaner.

3. then clean your window panes with the chamois leather and a window cleaning agent and dry with a clean cloth for streak-free windows.

4. wipe up the remaining water and cleaning agent on the floor.

5. repeat on the other side of the window.

Please note:

  • Do not use any aggressive or solvent-based care and polishing agents or solvent-based cleaners, e.g. synthetic resin thinner, acetone, etc.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners
  • Do not use hard objects such as spatulas, wire brushes, rough sponges, etc., as these can irreparably damage the surface
